Hello there and welcome to my first attempt at at web page! My name is Alexis; please allow me to tell you a bit about myself. I was born in Michigan and have lived here all my life. I'll be a junior at Alma College in the fall. It's a great school and I have some really great friends there. I am 19 years old and an only child. I'm usually pretty quiet around new people and large groups, but once you get to know me, I can talk your ear off! There are so many things I would like to put together here... Like I mentioned before, I am an only child. My parents are still together after an amazing 29 years. Our household consists of many living creatures, however... all of which I call my family. We live in the boonies, so have plenty of room for our two dogs (Molly and Wagger), three cats (Trouble, Shy-Kitty, Stienbeck), two tarantuals (Rosey and Mr. T), iguana (Lizzy), boa constrictor (Zacharheta), two hermit crabs (new to the family and yet un-named) and mice. In the past we've also had several other cats, dogs, fish, hermit crabs, and tarantulas... but they have since passed on. I have two great sets of grandparents whom I love very much, and several aunts and uncles scattered around the country who I also care for a lot. I have two cousins, Steve and Sarah that I am also close to. I wish we could all spend more time together, however, but we are all very busy and live pretty far apart. It makes the holidays extra special for me, though. This year I have really made a lot of great friends at school and work. My dorm is set up by quads with one female quad and one male quad connected by a "study lounge" per floor. My quad and our "brother" quad have become especially close this year and I will always cherrish the bonds made. I will try to include as many pictures as possible of everyone. I'll try not to miss anybody!! I also have many online friends as well. I'm always up for a friendly chat, and often this leads to lasting friendships, and sometimes even more. I have met ten people from online and even dated a few; one for nearly two years. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Interests, Hobbies, and other Stuff... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I am a nature girl by heart and love to spend time outdoors. I love to cross country ski and ice fish in the winter; in the spring I garden and take walks in the woods. Summer brings fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing, swimming, and lots of other fun things. Fall brings snuggle weather and I usually kick back and relax, plus I keep pretty busy with school. I love music and I am a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a national music frat. (That's my initiation pic next door: me with my "family") I DJ for the campus radio station, WQAC the Duck, and I am a member of the Alma College Choir. Listening-wise I usually turn to Metal and Alternative styles, but also enjoy just about everything except country! I am a die hard Metallica fan, and my other favorite bands include Soul Asylum, Tool, KoRn, R.E.M, and Rob Zombie... but there are so many, I am not going to attempt to name any more! | I also enjoy reading, traveling, hanging out with my friends, cooking and baking, seeing movies, dancing, and of course playing on the computer! I'm currently single... It's not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind a more serious relationship. I keep pretty busy with school and work. I am studying to be a Neuroscientist with a current major in Biolgoy and minor in Psychology. I also have a concentration in Chemistry, but I don't think I have enough time to make the minor requirement for it. It's a pretty tough class schedule, but I enjoy the challenge (most of the time!). In the summer I work in a restaurant called Maxfield's. They have awesome food and are located out in the middle of nowhere. But it is worth the trip! I have worked there over three years now; mostly in the kitchen as a dishwasher and "salad girl," but this summer I will try waitressing. I may do both, who knows~ This May I am took a class to Russia and the Czech. Republic for two weeks. It was a great time. I will have to make a page for that when I get the chance. I also have a car that I'm very proud of. It is an '88 Dodge Daytona Turbo. It's a deep purple/maroon color with silver spoilers and it's my baby. Other quick facts: I'm 5'10" with brown hair and green eyes. I give pretty decent massages and love to cuddle. My plans/hopes for the future include going to grad school, getting a job, getting married and having a family, and possibly living in upperstate New York or North Carolina, with lots of traveling vacations.
